When a driveway needs replacing
- Wide or growing cracks, or sections that have sunk or lifted.
- Tree roots pushing the concrete up.
- Water that pools on the driveway or runs toward the house or garage.
- You're widening the driveway, moving it, or adding a new one.
How we build it
- Remove the old concrete and haul it away.
- Grade and compact the base, so the new slab has firm, even support.
- Set the forms and reinforcement, and plan the slope so water drains away.
- Pour and finish the concrete, with control joints to manage cracking.
The approach from the street
The sloped section between the street and your driveway, the driveway approach, usually sits in the city's right-of-way and needs a public-works permit. Public works is on our license, so we can build the approach together with the driveway.
Questions
Can you replace part of a driveway?
Often, yes. If only some sections have failed, we can cut out and repour those sections after fixing what moved them.
Do you handle the curb cut and approach?
Yes. The approach is public works, which is on our license. We pull the city permit and build it with the driveway.
